Our Story
We both grew up in the suburbs of Chicago, but met in Minnesota. We first met each other on our first weekend in college when our dorms hosted a karaoke night together. ​We connected right away over our Chicago roots and our love for ice skating/hockey. There's a good chance we were at the same rink at the same time when we were growing up! We were friends for a few months before we started dating. We dated for over 4 years before getting engaged. We have been happily married since 2013 and call Minnesota our home.

We always knew we wanted to have a family. We felt called to adopt after losing a premature baby and experiencing miscarriages. We were then surprised with a healthy pregnancy and gave birth to our son, Cam, in February of 2022. We have always hoped to have multiple children and know that a future healthy pregnancy is unlikely. We still feel that same calling to adopt and we are so excited to grow our family through adoption!

Lifestyle
We live on a quiet street in the western suburbs of Minneapolis. We love that we can get downtown in under 15 minutes but can also enjoy the beautiful nature around our home such as deer, owls, and wild turkeys. We love to go on daily walks through the nature trail and park by our house. There is even a sledding hill and ice skating rink at the park in the winter so we can utilize it all year round. The parks are busy with the many children that live in the area. Our sweet and social cats, Jake and Elwood (appropriately named after the Blues Brothers) love to cuddle with us and greet us when we come home.

We enjoy experiencing everything MN has to offer- lakes, playgrounds, concerts, sporting events, farmers markets, mini-golf, and restaurants. Our daily life includes dance parties, getting together with other families in our neighborhood, checking out local play spaces, and exploring nature. We also love cheering on the Wild and Vikings, trying new coffee shops, walking to get donuts or Dairy Queen, traveling, and spending time with our families. We are also members of a very active and accepting Catholic church near our home.
About Jenny
I am currently a part time high school math teacher. I also help coordinate the Link program at my school, which is an upperclassmen mentorship program for freshmen. I always knew I wanted to be a teacher and I am very passionate about my job and my students. Even though I love my job, being a mom is most important to me and I love being off work for the summers and holidays.

Family is a big part of my life. I have two older brothers. My oldest brother still lives in the Chicagoland area with his wife and 2 young sons. Despite being far away, we still visit each other a few times a year and love to have our kids play together. My other brother lives in LA and my parents live in Florida on the beach. We are lucky to be able to visit them for warm vacations! My parents love going to Disney World and look forward to taking their grandchildren to see Mickey. While my family is spread out, we are so thankful that we can still keep close through technology and frequent visits.

One of my favorite things to do is spend time in our backyard. I love listening to the birds, reading and soaking up the sun, and sitting around our fire table at night. I also love boating and enjoying the beach. Whether it is at a lake near our home in MN, my grandparents' lake home in Wisconsin, my parents' place in Florida, or a tropical vacation, I love being by the water.
I was a competitive figure skater throughout my childhood and I enjoy going to any sporting event, especially whenever I can see the Chicago White Sox. I also was a drummer in high school and I hope that someday Jeff can reteach me how to play. I also love to travel the world and learn about different cultures. Through high school and college I took trips and stayed with families in Costa Rica, London, and Uganda. I hope to give our children similar opportunities to see the world.
I am a compassionate, easy-going, dependable, and social person who loves to get to know people. I also appreciate quality time at home with Jeff and Cam. I am a huge animal lover and I also have a weak spot for pizza, Chicago style hot dogs, and coffee.

I always dreamed of having a family and I love being a mom. When we made the decision to adopt, my soul felt an overwhelming sense of joy. I know that this is the right path for us and I look forward to welcoming a child into our lives through adoption!
About Jeff
I've lived in the Twin Cities since moving here for college. While I grew up in IL, my family is originally from MN so I was born and raised a Vikings fan, but I also have a soft spot for the Blackhawks, White Sox, and Bulls. I am an only child and my parents live ten minutes away from us. With my parents being so close, we see them regularly and spend most holidays together. They love being grandparents and can't wait to have another grandchild!

Two of my biggest passions are music and sports. I have been playing drums since I was in middle school and currently play drums at our church. I played hockey through high school and still enjoy playing pickup games in the winter. Along with playing drums and hockey, I enjoy going to concerts and sporting events.
In college, I started a business that combined my love for drums and entrepreneurship. I was fortunate enough to run that business for almost a decade and made some really great friends and memories in the music industry. I now work in Digital Advertising for a Fortune 500 company. I am able to work from home and spend lots of time with my family.
I try not to take myself too seriously and those close to me know I am not afraid to act silly to get a good laugh. I have an affinity for cake and have been known to ask about dessert before dinner even starts. I enjoy the outdoors and living an active lifestyle.

I love being a goofy dad and I am excited to grow our family through adoption.

About Cam
Cam is a happy, energetic, and kind toddler. He loves hockey, music, sports, parks, the MN Vikings, riding his bike, construction vehicles, and our two cuddly cats. He will be a great big brother!
Cam has brought so much joy into our lives and we can't wait to add more joy with another child!
